Delegated Funds
Walton Charity Delegated Funds are allocated to local organisations who work directly with people and families in Elmbridge on low incomes, particularly during times of crisis or financial hardship.
Delegated Funds can be used flexibly and creatively to tackle both the immediate symptoms of poverty but also to help individuals and families find a route out of poverty.
Examples of how the funds have been used include:
Gift cards for fresh food (supplementing food parcels from the Foodbank)
Transport costs (including bikes) for people to get to night shelters or to attend interviews
Specialist one-off holiday provision for a boy with autism
School uniforms and shoes when the school the children attended did not hold an Opportunities Fund
A debt relief order for a family supported by Citizen Advice
Support of clients from the Criminal Liaison and Diversion Service
Supporting refugees new to Elmbridge with the cost of transport to ESOL courses
The Walton Charity Delegated Fund is a highly valued asset for Citizens Advice Elmbridge West....It has been invaluable for clients seeking help where no other options are available
